Training Sessions for Quizzers and Coaches-New Quizzers, Master Quizzers, Intermediate Quizzers and Coaches of All Levels
Session leaders
Rev. Bernie Elliot is the National Bible Quiz Coordinator. Pastor Bernie served for several years as the National Bible Quiz Field Representative and is also the coordinator for the Pennsylvania-Delaware District. He has grown the district from less than 20 teams to over 160 teams. Pastor Bernie is a former youth pastor and senior pastor and now travels the country promoting what he calls “the most important ministry of the church.” His tips and motivation help coaches and quizzers to better learn Scripture, be more successful at quizzing, and have more fun. He will be working with all coaches and quizzers on Friday night and then with the newer and younger quizzers on Saturday
John Hunter has served as the Indiana District Bible Quiz Coordinator for over 13 years. John started Bible Quizzing as an eighth grader, after being introduced to the ministry by his Royal Ranger leader. Some years later, John was looking for something to challenge his middle school Sunday School Class to read and study the Bible and heard God ask him, “What about Bible Quiz?” John argued with God about getting involved but for lack of a good argument gave in and agreed to try it out. Now 28 years later the rest is history. Both of John’s children grew up participating in both JBQ and Teen Bible Quiz. John has coached three different teams to national finals and helped coach two others along with Brian Boerninger. He has been involved in starting Bible Quiz teams at four different churches. John will be working with the coaches on Saturday.
Joshua J Weber is the former Tennessee District Bible Quiz Coordinator. Joshua quizzed on two National championship teams, placed 1st High Scorer, and 2nd Place in the individual tournament. During his quiz years he studied 13 books of the New Testament. Since then he has coached both JBQ and TBQ teams with his gorgeous wife, Melissa. They recently moved to Florida where he started a new team. The team qualified for national finals in its first year. He looks forward to sharing his thoughts, tricks and techniques of quizzing. Joshua will be working with our Master Quizzers (those with the most experience) on Saturday.

Registration Information
Early registration $45 per person (received by September 2)
Regular registration $55 per person
Each church may register one head coach for $35.
Registration includes the activities listed in the schedule, Friday night ice cream party, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and overnight accommodations in the Timberlake Center dormitories. (Everyone needs to bring a sleeping bag or a pillow and blanket)
DIRECTIONS TO TIMBERLAKE CENTER
I-75 to exit 187 (Georgia Highway 83) Go east 2 miles. Timberlake Center is on the right. The sign says “Timberlake Center.”
Each quizzer should bring a Scripture portion to work with during the weekend. Special effort will be placed on Mark 1. More experienced quizzers will cover more material. Studying these chapters before coming will be particularly beneficial for all quizzers.
Pastor Bernie will have all quiz materials with him and available for sale at the same price as the GPH catalog. There is no shipping or handling charges for any purchases.
